DUNE COLLABORATION MEETING

The DUNE Collaboration Meeting 2026 will take place in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, from September 21 to 25, hosted by the State University of Campinas (Unicamp).

Recognized as one of the leading centers for science, technology, and innovation in Latin America, Campinas combines a strong academic tradition with intense research activity and a vibrant environment shaped by universities, research institutes, and high-tech companies.

The Unicamp campus offers extensive academic and cultural facilities, as well as convenient access to restaurants, hotels, and transportation throughout the Campinas metropolitan area. The city is also strategically located near Viracopos International Airport, providing easy access for both national and international participants.

Registration for the meeting will close on August 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Brasília time). Please note that on-site registration and late registration requests will not be accepted after this deadline.

You may complete the online registration form before making the payment. However, if you are attending in person, please note that your registration will not be considered complete until the proof of payment has been uploaded.
If you were unable to attach the proof of payment during the initial registration, you can edit your registration later and upload it then.
You can request an invoice during registration by checking the box "Request bill" and providing the necessary details.

Social dinner: This dinner is an optional activity that has an additional cost of $60. If you are attending the conference dinner, please add them in the tab of the registration process (Products).

Below you will find accommodation options listed in order of proximity to the meeting venue. The first option is located within the UNICAMP campus, just a few minutes’ walk from the collaboration meeting locations. The second option is approximately 1.5 km from the venue. The remaining options are located farther away and require a longer commute.

The discounted rates are already reflected in the prices shown.

Please note that hotel availability in Campinas — particularly in the UNICAMP area and during September — is limited. We therefore strongly recommend making your reservation as early as possible.

Viracopos International Airport (VCP)

Viracopos International Airport is the main airport serving the Campinas region and one of the largest air transportation hubs in Brazil. It offers both domestic and international flights, operated by several airlines.

The airport is located approximately 15 km from downtown Campinas and about 25 km from UNICAMP.

Transportation between the airport and Campinas

Taxi and ride-sharing services

Taxis and ride-sharing services (Uber, 99 and others) are available 24 hours a day at the airport. The trip to the UNICAMP area typically takes between 30 and 50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Executive bus and public transportation

The airport is connected to downtown Campinas by regular executive and public bus lines. From the Ramos de Azevedo Central Bus Terminal, participants can continue to different parts of the city using local buses or ride-sharing services.

Transportation to hotels and event venues

Participants are responsible for arranging transportation between the airport, hotels, and the event venues. We recommend using ride-sharing applications, especially for transportation to UNICAMP and hotels in the Barão Geraldo district.

Arriving via São Paulo

Participants arriving through São Paulo airports — São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) or Congonhas Airport (CGH) — may use direct intercity bus services to Campinas, as well as taxis and ride-sharing services.

Travel time between São Paulo and Campinas typically ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
